The Podcast

We are part of a music world entrenched in magical tradition, but sadly traditionally stigmatised views towards musician’s mental health and wellbeing are also in circulation.

The podcast is about asking questions. Why is it so difficult to talk about mental health as a classical musician? Why are musicians suffering from depression and anxiety to a greater extent than that of the general public?

We are seeing more and more examples of musicians suffering due to the insecurities of the profession. There are many widely celebrated psychological impacts of music on the brain, but classical musicians with depression are left out of the picture all too often.

Join Hattie, Rebecca and renowned classical artists as they share stories, reflections and chat about the issues we all face as both musicians and humans.
